ARAM
1 yo Blue Marbled Bengal

Aram is a purebred Bengal. He is a blue bengal which is an unusual color for this breed. It's considered a recessive gene, and while it's not an "allowed" color for show, several breeding programs are working on getting this recognized as an approved coat color for The International Cat Fanciers Association. Regardless of those snooty show kitties, we think Aram is "Best of Show" here in Rescue.

He's an awesome young cat. A typical Bengal in attitude, he will vocalize and complain if he doesn't get his own way, but it's all for show. He's really good boy. He loves other cats once he gets to know them. His best buddy in Rescue right now is Jac, (also featured on our kitten page). We'd be thrilled if Aram could go home with Jac and might even consider a reduction in adoption fee to get them into the same home.

Aram has some "special needs". He's had a couple of severe eye infections which have left a bit of scarring on his left eye. He may continue to have occasional infections over his lifetime, so we need an adopter who is aware of this and willing to get him to the vet right away if this happens. We work with an excellent veterinary opthalmologis in Rocklin who has overseen Aram's care. She has given us tips and a plan for making his transition into a new home as stress free as possible. Once he's in his new home, it is highly likely that he will never have another problem again as long as he is healthy and indoor only. Please don't let his past problems scare you away from adopting this darling boy. He's a lover and sleeps with his foster mom every night. Sometimes he even sneaks under the covers.

We expect that Aram is going to be a big boy. At 6 months he already weighed 8 lbs. He's a very rewarding companion, is great with other cats and is used to large gentle dogs.
