BOSTON CHARLIE
2-4 yo Male Black & White Bicolor Persian
I need a sponsor

Boston Charlie is a big name for a little scrap of a kitty. A kind couple picked him up at an elementary school thin, ill. filthy, un-neutered, and lonely and lost. Medicated, neutered, vaccinated and cleaned up he would have had a home except the couple's autistic 6 year old son would pet him and then throw him, repeatedly. Charlie was too obliging and too needy for love to keep his distance from the child so he was given into rescue.

Obliging is the right word for him. All he wants is human company. He'll sit at your feet, follow you around, sleep in your lap. He places a front paw on you to hold you. He is utterly appealing. Not skittish or hyper, he is the essence of mellow and easy going. "Hey I'm no problem. I just want to be right here next to you, safe and loved."

He looks tiny but he's not really. He's 7 1/2 pounds which is pretty decent for a Persian. He does have a tiny nose and struggles to breathe thru it some times. He would benefit from the little surgery to open his breathing passages which helps so many Persians.

He is a classic Black and White Bicolor with the white "necklace" around his neck. His fur is nice and soft, what there is of it. Which raises the question "Where is all his fur?" Well, his weedy disreputable tail was clearly half shaved by the vet along with his rear and hind legs. But that doesn't explain his shortish coat. He may have been totally shaved down last fall and it is still growing in. Or is this the temporary effect of poor nutrition and care? With his "extreme" Persian face and tiny almost recessed nose he is clearly all Persian. But he does not have the big Persian coat, with lots of undercoat, that needs lots of care.

The awards he will win are for personality and character, not show cat beauty. My vet says his teeth, which are in remarkably good shape, indicate he is a young 2-4 years.

He is okay with other cats but they must be good to him. They may be competitive with him for his human's lap. He would be fine also as an only cat as along as his human family wasn't gone too much. He is happy to stay inside. Eats everything. Is perfect with his litter box. He's a cool dude kind of a guy and can handle anyone and any animal kind to him.

He will grab your heart and be your devoted friend.

Fostered in Santa Cruz.

I need a nose job! My breeder must have been an idiot cuz I've got no nose! That makes it really hard for me to breathe and if I don't get my nose soon I might die from cardiopulmonary collapse. We can get this done for less than $300 at a great vet's office in the Sacramento
area and it will extend my life span by many years. I'm a great cat; I've been through a lot. Please, won't you help me?
