Sweet Cassie is a down to earth kind of kitty. No frills, demands or Diva attitude from this girl. The past year has been rough for her. Her previous owner had passed away and Cassie ended up in the shelter for 7 months before coming in to Rescue. Cassie was very depressed and had stopped eating. She lost a lot of weight. Once out of the shelter, she has made a great come-back.
Cassie is a social girl that loves to be with her people. She very much enjoys hanging out wherever they are. Always between your legs if you are standing or in your lap if you're sitting. Her favorite place to be is in the kitchen. If she's not right next to you, that's where you'll find her. Cassie has turned into a chowhound. She is putting on the weight that she had lost. Cassie looks forward to her daily wet food. Her internal clock knows when the time has come for dinner and usually lets you know when that is. She stretches out, putting her front paws on your leg while you get her dinner on a plate. She is irresistable when she does this.
While Cassie is a lightweight right now, she won't be for long. Cassie has the typical sturdy Maine Coon body frame, large feet with long toe tufts, and thick ear feathering. Her black and white markings are equally matched. She has a cute black nose and chin, with pretty light yellow/green eyes. Cassie does very well with being brushed and having her claws trimmed. She has a glossy coat that doesn't matt. She will require very little grooming.
Cassie tends to stick to herself, but gets along fine with other cats. Cassie will thrive in a home where she can get lots of attention and affection.
