MIMI
8 yo Female Brown & Black Tabby American Shorthair
This cat qualifies for our Silver Whiskers program. Ask the foster mom for details.
If you read up on American Shorthairs you will read a very accurate
description of Mimi. That's not surprising because she is a papered
American Shorthair and is an excellent example of her breed.
She is a wonderful cat. Her fur is very plush. Her color rich. Her
toes are extraordinary. Her expression is as sweet as her nature.
She has the fetching little pouch of fur between her hind legs -
which is a breed characteristic.
So they say the Shorthairs came over on the Mayflower as mouse
control. They were breed to be a sturdy, healthy breed. Moderate is
the word for them. Moderate size, moderate voice, moderate easy
nature. Not too cobby, not too long. Moderately independent. Mimi
loves all sorts of attention but, and again this is characteristic
of the breed, she prefers not to be carried around and held too long.
Otherwise she is very reasonable and cooperative. Likes her rituals.
LOVES to give head butts and head nuzzling. Winds around your legs in
greeting. She is a little darling.
She is an easy cat. Not going to cause trouble wanting too much, or
wanting too little. She is made to be a companion, an absolutely
delightful companion. She is playful and curious and will follow you
about and get maximum entertainment value from everything you do. She
would be happy to sleep in your bed and watch movies late into the
night. It is fun to watch her - she seems like such a classic cat,
the essence of cat.
Someone will be lucky to have her company and the enjoyment of her
beautiful presence in their home.
She likes dry food and is litterbox perfect.
Her foster mom is Harriet in Santa Cruz.
