Poor little Thomas was brought to a vet's office near Portland by his owner to be euthanized because he had a prolapsed rectum.  At only 7 months old he had already been declawed and now with this new problem his owners decided they didn't want to put any more money into him and opted to just have him euthanized.  Lucky for Thomas the office manager at the vet's office decided to make some phone calls to see if anyone was willing to help Thomas.  Purebreds Plus got the call on Monday and by Wednesday Thomas was in safe hands in a temporary foster home in Portland, and this weekend one of our volunteers will be picking him up and taking him to Vacaville.

We have already contacted the vet that will be doing the surgery to correct Thomas's problem and discussed his prognosis and after care with him.  Things look very good for Thomas but it will take surgery and a lot of care afterwards to get him ready for a new forever home.
