Happy New Year

  • Susie Emerald Eyes
  • Leontyne
  • Basil
Susie likes to be petted and is a good little, well behaved kitty. She is a beautiful cat and has a thick full coat, with soulful green eyes. Her life has not been easy. She needs a quiet stable home. Kids are not a good idea for her. We are not sure about dogs but we expect she could live with another gentle cat. Can you offer her the warmth, security and love that she needs so she can blossom?
Leontyne is a great companion cat. She wants to be around people, comes when dinner is served, and ‘checks in’ when she hasn’t seen anyone in a while. Over time, she and the foster home cat have adjusted well, so she would be fine to co-exist with another non-dominant cat. However, she would be perfectly fine as an only cat too. Leontyne does love pizza, so beware on pizza night!
Basil is a retired award-winning show cat that is ready to be loved and doted up for the rest of his life. He is a CFA papered boy and he knows it! He is VERY affectionate and loving and will follow you around like a puppy. He gets along wonderfully with his buddies Ray Ban and Chunky Monkey but does not accept other cats so easily, in fact he can be quite aggressive with others so he should either be adopted alone or with Ray or Monkey.

Fostering...

A whiskered face, a gentle head butt, a soft meow, an endearing purr, or the soft touch of a paw…so much to love.

Undoubtedly, the biggest benefit to fostering is that you are helping a cat or kitten who has fallen on hard times.

Sometimes this can be the first time the cat or kitten has felt safe, cared for and loved. The feeling of achievement when a nervous cat or kitten finally comes up to you for attention, after shying away from human contact, is beyond words. If you have ever felt you wanted to make a real difference to a cat or kittens life, then please consider fostering.

When your foster cat or kitten goes to its permanent home it will be bittersweet. It's almost heartbreaking and you may wonder why you put yourself through the heartache. You have to remember you are giving the cat or kitten a chance to live their life in a happy home, something many of our rescues have never known. Yes, it does hurt, until the next rescued cat or kitten comes in and you're reminded of exactly why you foster: because they need you.

Well here is a darling boy. Smitty is all kitten. He is curious, cuddly, fearless and fun. He has an unusually curly tail just like a little pug dog. His fur is a very even length like a plush toy, silky soft to the touch. He has a pink nose and very pink pads on his white feet. What is unusual in a red tabby are his amber/ copper colored eyes. He is a very color coordinated kitten.

BOOTS

Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue© is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization founded in 2007. We are an all volunteer organizations. 100% of our funding goes toward the cats—no one gets paid a salary. We cover the entire West Coast for many breeds and work in tandem with Purebred Cat Breed Rescue on a National basis. Our mission is to educate pet owners, breeders, and shelters about our breeds, and to place our cats with Forever Families who will give them the proper care and love they deserve. We carefully match cats with their Forever Families by evaluating each cat's personality, temperament, and special needs. Then we determine the best fit for both the cat and the new family. Please note that we do NOT ship cats. Adoption fee is $175 unless otherwise noted on the individual cat bio.  This fee allows us to provide excellent vet care for the cats that really need it. The healthy kitties make it possible for the sick ones to be saved.
