BEETLE JUICE
1-2 yo Chausie

When we first went to the shelter Beetle Juice (aka BJ) was one of three cats that weren't expected to make it. He was in such bad condition from the diarrhea and parasites that he had no bowel control. He was just skin and bones and looked so miserable it was hard to look him in the
eye. When we finally got him home we offered him a plate of wet food and he fell on it and just started gobbling it up. We gave him another plate and he ate that, too. We would feed him several times a day and even though he had kibble always available he would fall on the food like
he'd not eaten in a week. We began treating him for the nasties and he has bounced back very quickly. Between the food and getting rid of the food he was begun to flourish.

Another amazing turn around with BJ is his personality. He was barely handleable when we first got him and would climb the walls to get away from human touch. Food was an amazing motivator though, and now he's our best buddy. He will snuggle in your arms and nuzzle your nose and climb up on your shoulder. We would expect him to have a few nervous moments in a new home, but once he's settled in he'll be your best buddy.

BJ will be fine in a home with other cats, but we have not yet introduced him to dogs. Since he has had some nerves about humans in the past, it's probably best if he goes to a home with no small children. He's 2-4 weeks away from a complete recovery. Once we're done fine tuning his health and getting some more weight on him, Beetle Juice
will be available for adoption through Chausie Rescue.
